Are you "Willing" to help the Hospice

Smith Sutcliffe have teamed up with Pendleside Hospice to join in with their "Free Will " campaign this year. During the week commencing 14th May we will be making a Will without charge for anyone wishing to support the work of Pendleside Hospice. To support the Hospice you are encouraged to make a donation to the Hospice representing the cost of the Will that we have prepared for you.

Supporters of the Hospice will have received a letter promoting the campaign this year, and we are one of the firms sponsoring that letter. If you are not already a supporter of the Hospice - then now is a good time to support a very local facility that is vital to the care and support of terminally ill patients from all parts of Burnley and Pendle and you can still take advantage of the offer through Smith Sutcliffe.

Making a Will is the only way to ensure that your estate is divided exactly as you wish and that the people you want to benefit, whether family, friends or chosen charities receive the gift that you intended. Yet, 1 in 3 of us in the UK will die without making a Will and about 60% have not made a Will yet, meaning that the law could make the decision of who benefits from your estate.

It'll take longer to sort out your affairs if you don't have a Will. This could mean extra distress for your relatives and dependants until they can draw money from your estate, even to pay bills. It can be even worse for couples who are not married or in a registered civil partnership as they may have to go to Court to sue for a share or part of what you leave.
