-
enhances the reputation of conveyancing solicitors;
-
provides reassurance about integrity and practice standards;
-
creates a trusted conveyancing community that will deter fraud;
-
provides a more effective service for clients.
Core principles
With the revised Transaction protocol at the heart of the scheme to deliver consistent standards, the Transaction Conveyancing Quality.
Scheme is based on four principles.
Probity - application for membership focuses on identity and status checks for individual conveyancers and firms to create a trusted conveyancing community.
Practice quality standards - consistent processes and standards are central.
Client / stakeholder service - a new client charter aims to ensure quality of service delivery.
Quality assurance - monitoring and enforcement are robust and members may be subject to spot checks and audits.
Smith Sutcliffe are committed to the principles of this scheme and their application for membership is presently being prepared to ensure that we are in a position to meet the required standards when the protocol is launched in April 2011
