A Licensed Conveyancer is a specialist property lawyer qualified in all aspects of property law in England and Wales.

The Council for Licensed Conveyancers sets entry standards - usually by study and examination and oversees and licenses members of the profession. This ensures that the required standards are maintained, and provides protection for members of the public involved in property transactions.

A Licensed Conveyancer is also a Commissioner for Oaths.
